Shower Leveling Compound Looking for some quick techniqes for leveling a shower pan on a cement floor.. The Tile setter says he will be using Laticrete Platinum 254& .. Both products& ..What I figured out is that the floor in the area of the shower drain line is not level! So, when looking at the drain line it appears to not be sloped correctly.. I`ll have to pour out a self leveling compound before I build the shower& .. I considered using a self leveling compound to level the subfloor but I was unsure how to keep the compound from leaking out the hole in the subfloor, that I cut for the drain. I have to go from 0 to 3/8" over a two foot area and I don`t think regular drywall compound would be acceptable..
